The scent of the seasons
Do you know how your mouth waters when salad fresh from the garden appears on your plate? Our kitchen serves, whatever grows in our garden and in the nearby fields. And this tastes simply fresh and natural – delicious. That’s why you will find different dishes on our menu each and every month. We celebrate the seasons of cooking as well with special menus appropriate to the time of year. Thus, with us, you can enjoy traditional specialties and delicacies made from the finest ingredients from the surrounding area throughout the entire year.
For the culinary spring awakening, we celebrate traditionally with a specialty week in spring in Jenesien: South Tyrolean asparagus with its unmistakable freshness and Easter ham from Bozen together with delicate appetizers, natural and homemade.
Merrily arrives our summer kitchen. The aromatic scents, like our summer garden, growing and blooming and inspired by mediterannean lightness.
Autumn is scented golden. Satisfied with the abundant harvest, we celebrate it with young wine, tasty chestnuts and traditional South Tyrolean specialties at a “Törggelen” dinner. For “Thanksgiving” we serve the best from our wine cellar and garden. Festive pleasures at the end of the year. South Tyrol during Advent, Christmas and New Years is a mixture of flavors and events: homemade delicacies at the cookie bake with Hirschen cook Maria, a Christmas feast, and a formal dinner on New Years Eve. This is how we celerbate the end of a delicious year – enjoy!
And last, but not least, our wonderful meat comes from foals and cattle which we lovingly breed, butcher and cure ourselves. We serve our tasty meat throughout the year.
