The history of our country - inn is strongly linked to the history of our family.Our grandfather, Anton Egger, took over the inn from his father. Back then the inn was a well-kept secret among army officers. Our parents ran the inn in accordance with the wishes of our grandfather and in 1969 they opened the riding-stable.

Hotel Hirschenwirt has been constantly renewed and expanded in recent years.

• 1In 1974 they decided to rebuild and do up the "Hirschen" for our guests.
• As of 2001 both daughters, Petra and Maria Oberkofler, took over the management of the business
• 2002  the hotel "Hirschenwirt" was rebuilt and renovated extensively
• 2004 the sauna was set up
• 2008 the rooms & suites were redesigned

It's usually love at first sight when our guests from the regional capital of Bolzano come up to Salten. The breathtaking panorama of the Dolomites, the stunning view of the valley, green meadows and forests, and right in the middle of the small village: our Inn Zum Hirschen.
